Something new is starting...
Welcome to System Hyperlink — a weekly newsletter and podcast on Apple, knowledge work, and the independent web.
Dear Reader,
I’ve been writing you here for about two years now, and I’m proud of what it’s become. The fact that you read this means a lot to me. But if I’m honest, it’s time for a change.
I remember typing DOS commands into my relatives’ computers to play games at like 5 years old. I encountered my first Mac at school, where they had a whole lab of colorful iMac G3s. I always tried to sit at an orange one. I was hooked.
It’s no wonder that Apple and the broader tech ecosystem became an obsession. I’ve spent 13 years building software inside this industry. I know how these companies think, what they’re optimizing for, and when they’re full of shit. Those are the conversations I’m constantly having with friends, co-workers, and anyone who will listen: which device you should actually buy, which features are real and which are gimmicks, and what’s actually happening behind the glowing coverage. I’m good at this stuff, and I genuinely love it.
I’d like to introduce you to System Hyperlink.
System Hyperlink is my new weekly dispatch on Apple, knowledge work, and the independent web. A newsletter and podcast covering the best of the week. Tech coverage that tells you the truth.
Sign up for the newsletter below. The first issue and episode drop on Friday, June 12th.
As for this newsletter, it’s not going away; it’s just changing shape. Going forward, it’ll be an occasional email from me, maybe once a month, keeping you in the loop on what I’m working on and what I’ve been publishing. No cadence, no format, just me staying in touch. If that’s not what you signed up for, no hard feelings. The unsubscribe link is at the bottom. But if you want to stick around, I’d love to have you. As always, if you have any questions, send me an email. I read every single one.
Live long and prosper 🖖,
Xavi B
